Job summary

Qualifications

• AWS CWI Certification is required.
• Pipeline coating experience is required.
• 2+ years Oil/Gas/Pipeline experience preferred.
• 2+ years verifiable QA/QC or NDE experience preferred.

• Inspect and ensure quality during 12-mile pipeline construction.
• Record QC data daily and generate reports.
• Interface with field supervision and client as field QC representative.
• Verify calibration of measuring and test equipment.

## Pipeline Welding InspectorApplylocations: Projects - TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R1251Take your next step with Saulsbury Industries!## Location: Permian Basin / Pecos, TexasType: Full Time – Project Site## **POSITION SUMMARY**Reporting to Site Quality Manager and Project Manager, applies skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of materials, equipment and installation of materials and equipment to specifications. Performs inspection of various project activities, more specifically Pipeline; generates daily and weekly reports of conditions found during inspection activities. Notifies management of significant problems. Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.## ## **Responsibilities*** Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.* Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on a 12-mile pipeline project. Included but not limited to, excavations, concrete, rebar, PV installation, underground utilities, welding, piping, valves, and a wide variety of other equipment.* Have a working knowledge of the code(s) of construction being used for the project.* Demonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skills.* Conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC data are properly and accurately recorded.* Daily monitoring and recording of all work as required by the Quality Inspection Test Plan (QITP).* Prevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspections.* Detect deficiencies and addresses deficiencies in a timely and effective manner.* Inspect the work and establish punch lists.* Ensure daily quality task schedules are met to meet the project schedule.* Work closely with the Client and field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirements.* Interface with field supervision to maintain an open line of communication.* Interacts cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team members.* Maintain complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to permanent hard copies and/or electronic files.* Capable of determining the calibration status of measuring and test equipment* Maintain a professional appearance.* Other Duties as assigned.**Qualifications/Experience*** AWS CWI Certification (Required)* Candidates that have API 1169 (Preferred)* Pipeline coating experience required (AMPP/NACE not mandatory)* Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record (Required)* All applicants must pass a background check (Required)* A pre-employment drug test as well as quarterly random drug testing (Required)* 2 or more years of Oil/Gas/or Pipeline experience (Preferred)* 2 or more years of verifiable QA/QC or NDE experience (Preferred)* Proficiency in computers to include Microsoft Office (Preferred)**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*** Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends* Typical work hours range from 40 to 60 hours per week, 5-6 days per week* Communicate effectively, both written and orally### About UsSaulsbury Industries provides engineering, general construction, electrical & instrumentation, and fabrication services to heavy industrial markets.
