The role requires the ability to read technical drawings, work with various welding techniques, and uphold strict safety standards. Certification such as AWS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pipeline welder.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to wear protective clothing.
• Professional AWS welding certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent with welding training.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches or welding process specifications.
• Operate manual welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Prepare and set up welding equipment.
• Monitor the welding process and adjust the speed and voltage for optimal results.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform maintenance on welding equipment.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure the highest quality.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions.
