Job summary

Aspen Midstream LLC in Texas seeks a Pipeline Technician to repair and maintain pipelines, appurtenances, and dehydration facilities, with occasional construction support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs general pipeline maintenance such as pigging, right-of-way monitoring, pipe fitting and routine maintenance.
• Operates small portable pumps and repairs pipeline leaks; installs right-of-way signs and markers; inspects contract crews.
• Operates company vehicles up to 10,000 GVW such as trucks and tractors.
• Interfaces with landowners, reads maps, locates lines and performs one calls.
• Maintains safe and healthful working conditions by following safety regulations.
• Performs relief gauging and tank inspection up to 50 feet height.
• Relieves in higher-rated classifications and performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Aspen Midstream LLC is a private equity back midstream service provider based in Dallas, TX.We are currently operating and constructing natural gas pipeline assets in the Washington, Fayette, Austin, Counties in Texas and expanding.

Summary

The Pipeline Technician can work independently to repair and maintain all pipelines and appurtenances and performs work incidental to the daily operation and maintenance of dehydrator stations and delivery facilities.Responsible for right-of-way maintenance including line-marking.Participates in construction projects as needed.This position performs all gauging/reporting activities at meter stations and assists technicians.Must be willing to respond to call-outs and travel.

• Performs duties related to general pipeline maintenance such as, but not limited to pigging, monitoring right-of-way, pipe fitting and routine maintenance.
• Work also involves operating small portable pumps and repairing pipeline leaks. This position also installs right-of-way signs and markers and provides inspection of contract employees performing maintenance activities.
• Operates Company vehicles up to 10,000 GVW such as trucks and tractors.
• Interfaces with landowners, reads maps, locates lines and performs one calls.
• Responsible for helping maintain safe and healthful working conditions by exercising sound judgment and complying with safety regulations and standards.
• Performs relief gauging and tank inspection requiring working at heights up to 50 feet above ground level.
• As directed, relieves in all higher-rated hourly classifications where qualified normally within that respective work area. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-years of service as a Pipeline Technician position or five years relevant industry experience for Pipeline Technician A designation.
• Must be able to work overtime as assigned and respond to emergency response activities as needed.
• Must be self-reliant, dependable, and able to maintain harmonious working relations with co-workers.
• Must write legibly, maintain neat appearance, be accurate in math, and maintain a good safety attitude and record.
• Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Other

• Work may involve walking over uneven terrain, bending, moving from ground level to higher levels, and working around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. Candidate will be subject to DOT drug & alcohol testing requirements
• Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs
• Ability to follow written or spoken work instructions in English.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, Outdoor work required with exposure to elements, Able to work extended hours & callouts as needed
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must be willing to live within an hour of reporting location near Burton, TX.
