Job summary

Kimble Companies is seeking a Pipeline Technician to perform routine maintenance and repair on gas equipment across multiple counties. Drive to job sites, locate underground lines, and mark routes while inputting daily data into a laptop database. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.

Strong teamwork with operators and engineers is essential to ensure safe operation of natural gas systems and accurate recordkeeping in the field.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and plans.
• Experience with field data input or database entry is a plus.
• Comfort working in outdoor environments and varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Drive to job sites across multiple counties to perform maintenance and repair on gas equipment.
• Locate underground utility lines and mark with flags and paint using locating equipment.
• Operate valves, regulators, and related gas pipeline components.
• Input daily field data into database software.
• Read and interpret maps and plans; communicate findings with operators and engineers.

Minimum Qualifications For a Pipeline Technician

• Drive a company vehicle from office to various job sites in a multi county region to perform work activities. - Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under our company policy


• Utilize locating equipment and maps to locate underground utility lines and mark with flags and paint.


• Communicate with operators, engineers and management on a regular basis with respect to findings in the field.


• Measure readings on pipelines.


• Operate valves, chokes, regulators, and dump control valves on natural gas pipelines.


• Perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment - well head, separator, tanks, tank battery, gas meters, and regulators.


• Changing gas flow charts, gauging tanks, spraying & trimming weeds at well sites.


• Inputting daily data into database program on laptop computer.


• Read and interpret maps and plans.


• Ability to pass our background check and drug screen.
