Job summary

Northern Natural Gas, part of the BHE Pipeline Group, is seeking engineers in Omaha, NE to perform system planning analysis, cost estimating, and project evaluation for pipeline facilities. Positions range from Engineer I to Sr Engineer, with progression based on experience and PE licensure.

Strong communication, MS Office, and pipeline knowledge are essential. The successful candidate will develop and maintain models, coordinate outages, and provide technical leadership to support throughput

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Engineer levels require progressively more experience: I (0–1 year), II (1–3 years), Sr (5+ years and PE preferred).
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to prepare reports and present findings.
• Proficiency with PC and office software; knowledge of pipeline design and operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide system planning analysis and cost estimating; identify constraints and throughput optimization.
• Evaluate project alternatives to support operations and marketing strategies.
• Develop and maintain pipeline models to support throughput activities.
• Coordinate outages and provide technical input for project planning and optimization.
• Provide technical leadership to staff and assist in problem solving.
