Job summary

Anthropic is seeking experienced Staff+ Software Engineers to join the Developer Acceleration team within the Developer Productivity organization. You will help build the infrastructure that enables thousands of researchers and engineers to be productive by shipping agent‑driven tooling and runtime platforms.

Hybrid policy applies: all staff are expected in one of our offices at least 25% of the time, and visa sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or tech lead.
• Extensive experience with agents performing technical/knowledge work.
• Obsessed with productivity and transforming work processes.
• Experience building scalable platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support internal partners.

The team builds the infrastructure that enables thousands of employees to be productive via agents, directly impacting the velocity and quality of Anthropic’s research and engineering.

Team Ownership

• Agent Runtime Platform for provisioning and running agents
• Knowledge for providing relevant internal context to agents and humans

Compensation

Annual salary range: $405,000—$485,000 USD.

Education & Experience

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum years of experience: Consistent with internal job level requirements.

Location & Visa

• Hybrid policy: All staff expected in one of our offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more time onsite.
• Visa sponsorship available upon hire; reasonable efforts will be made for qualified candidates.
