Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma in an industrial field plus 10 years of related experience.
  • An applicable technical degree is preferred.
  • 5 years' production management experience or 10 years' operation/maintenance/instrumentation experience in ASU production or similar field is a plus.
  • Industry-related vocational certifications are considered preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

Pipeline Project Managers handle all the components of pipeline construction, maintenance, and installation. Responsibility for budget, schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This role will provide technical subject matter expertise support for or lead: Safety and Quality Focus.

Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.

Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.

Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.

Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.

Conducting cost analysis and setting benchmarks for improvement.

Willingness to take on a role that will be both challenging and demanding at times requiring full commitment and focus.

Ability to communicate effectively with Management, Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Vendor teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Working along with Large Project Manager, Plant Managers, Director of Pipelines, TAR Coordinator, Rotating Manager, Regional Ops Manager, and Zone Manager to define and plan scope. Pro‑active with a "can do" attitude and an ability to find solutions within a fast-paced environment.

Facilitate Planning steering committee meetings to report progress, communicate risks, address support requests and make key decisions.

Willingness to travel as required.

Flexibility of hours may be required during outages or repairs.

Role will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial field environments. May also be required to work from a home location, which must be conducive to performing the role and duties, including virtual/video meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma in an industrial field plus 10 years of related experience is required.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to assess the reliability of systems, products, and processes in business operations, then use tools and methodologies to overcome, prevent, or improve potential issues to ensure optimal performance.

Knowledge of risk management, loss prevention, and life cycle asset management programs, Engineering, mathematical and statistical abilities to perform data analysis, assess probability, interpret technical drawings / documents, and perform engineering calculations.

Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify potential problems, analyze data, prioritize, and implement solutions.

Communication skills to explain technical concepts and coordinate / collaborate effectively.

Project Management ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (plan, schedule, and organize).

Proven Leadership skills to learn from and mentor others, identify and influence critical paths / resources, and organize / lead teams to make good decisions and reduce mistakes.

Organizational skills for time management and effective multitasking and prioritization.

Willingness to become proficient in programs as needed required

Additionally preferred requirements include an applicable technical degree, or 5 years' production management experience, or 10 years' operation, maintenance, or instrumentation experience in ASU production or similar industrial manufacturing field. Industry related vocational certifications considered is preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Certification PMP (Project Management Professional), preferred.

Certification CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability), preferred.

Certification MRM (Maintenance and Reliability Management Professional), preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, bend and twist, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, equipment, tools or controls.

Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITION

This role will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial field environments. While performing duties of this job it would occasionally be required to:

  • Be exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (e.g. operating plant).
  • Be exposed to outside weather conditions (e.g. cold box valves, filling trailers).
  • Be exposed to high, precarious places (e.g. cold box, repair work).
  • Be exposed to high noise levels (e.g. Plant rounds, maintenance).

May also be required to work from a home location, which must be conducive to performing the role and duties, including virtual/video meetings.

Must sign NDA, have a clean driving record and pass background check and drug test.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Estimated amount: 50% ability to travel and required to provide weekend and evening support as needed.

PAY RANGE

$110,000 to $160,000 annually
