Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Pipeline Mapper for our Houston, TX location, focusing on drafting and mapping for pipeline projects. The role involves CAD drafting, digitizing sketches from designers, and producing plan and profile drawings using Civil3D and other CAD tools.

Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS with 2+ years of relevant experience and strong proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and survey data handling. Relocation and sponsorship are not available for this position.

• 2+ years of IFB/IFC pipeline alignment sheet plan and profile drawing in Civil3D.
• 2+ years of pipeline drawings and permit drawing creation.
• 2+ years working with civil survey data for pipeline design/mapping.

AECOM is seeking a Pipeline Mapper for our Houston, TX location. Some of the responsibilities will include

• Perform both routine and non-routine, drafting assignments, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA / BS +2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• 2+ years of IFB/IFC pipeline alignment sheet plan and profile drawing creation on Civil3D
• 2+ years of pipeline typical drawings and permit drawing creation
• 2+ years working with civil survey data for pipeline design/mapping

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the following:

• Creating map templates and sheet frames and Familiarity with data shortcuts
• Creating and editing surfaces and surface profiles
• Reading survey points and point groups
• Working with offset alignments
• Creating KMZs and exporting shapefiles and handling XREFs and large base files
• BlueSky Skyline pipeline software
• BlueBeam PDF software
• ArcGIS Pro
• Global Mapper
