Job summary

Targa Resources in Watford City, ND seeks an experienced field operations professional to coordinate right of way remediation and supervise pipeline encroachments. You will complete PSSR and be on call for pipeline emergencies, while supporting field technicians with pigging and maintenance tasks.

The role requires reading P&IDs, PFDs, and MTAs, with strict adherence to safety practices and DOT reporting requirements. Strong communication and independent work ethic are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of pipeline related experience.
• Solid verbal and written communication.
• Possess valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as P&IDs and PFDs.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of pipeline related experience
• Solid verbal and written communication
• Possess valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software.
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as Process and Instrument Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and alignment sheets.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management Facilities; Management of Change Process; Environmental, Health, and Safety and OSHA Guidelines and Practices
• Experience with pipeline operations.
• Regular and reliable attendance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree from an accredited technical school
• Intermediate computer skills (Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions
• Ability to frequently throughout the work shift, push, pull and lift at least a minimum of 50lbs to a minimum height of 3-4 feet and maneuver equipment or parts as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in changing climate conditions
• Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing
• Ability to climb up and down ladders, stairs, and platforms at varying heights
• Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex)
• We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing
• This role is subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Targa policy
