Job summary

Southeast Connections LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a Construction Pipeline Crew Member to perform physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects, operate hand and power tools, and prepare sites for ongoing pipeline work.

The role requires adherence to safety standards, supports pipe and drain installations, digs trenches, erects scaffolding, and participates in training apprentices. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, STD/LTD from day one and 401K after 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards.
• Operator qualifications required; fusion license preferred.
• Multiple years of laborer experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables according to customer specs and contract.
• Maintain cost control, margins, productivity, change orders and equipment reporting.
• Ensure work complies with installation standards and safety requirements.
• Promote safety of team members.
• Prepare sites for optimized construction work procedures.
• Clean debris and hazardous materials from sites.
• Dig trenches as instructed.
• Assist in installing pipes and drains.
• Erect temporary structures and place traffic signs.
• Load and unload equipment; maintain vehicles.
• Follow safety and incident reporting procedures.
• Train apprentices and new hires in construction labor work.
• Use hand tools to cut and shape material.
• Perform OQ tasks and plastic pipe fusion.
• Bring problems to the foreman for resolution.
