Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Pipeline and Measurement Technician for a 12 month assignment in Port Neches, TX. This hands-on role focuses on installation, calibration and maintenance of electronic flow meters, flow computers and communications gear in a process-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Instrumentation and 0–2 years of related experience. A TWIC card is required to access project sites. Expect a 9/80 schedule with 6am–3:30pm shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, calibrate and prove electronic flow meters and related measurement equipment.
• Support field assistance for pipeline projects and respond to measurement-related callouts.
• Maintain pipeline leak detection communications and associated equipment.
• Ensure regulatory paperwork and safe field operations.

Job description

Job Title: Pipeline and Measurement Technician

Duration: 12 Month Assignment with possibility of extension

Schedule: 9/80 Rotation; 6am - 3:30pm, with overtime as required by project

Location: Port Neches, TX

This opportunity offers hands-on technical work within a pipeline and measurement environment, supporting the installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic flow meters, flow computers and communications equipment. The role is focused on accurate measurement, regulatory paperwork, leak detection communications and safe field operations. This position will suit candidates looking to build technical expertise across metering systems, PLCs and electronic flow measurement devices in a process-driven industrial setting.

Required Education: Associate Degree in Instrumentation or a related field.

Required Experience: 0-2 years of pipeline or measurement technician experience. Experience working with measurement equipment, flow meters, transmitters, valves or related field instrumentation. Ability to support field assistance activities for pipeline projects and respond to measurement-related callouts.

Required Skills: Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, calibrate and prove electronic flow meters and associated measurement equipment. Knowledge of common measurement methods including positive displacement meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters and orifice meters. Experience proving meters using a portable ballistic prover and verifying density meters on Coriolis meters for mass proving. Ability to program and troubleshoot OMNI and Dynamic flow computers. Capability to obtain data from electronic flow measurement devices and maintain pipeline leak detection communications, meters, PLCs and software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good accountability, task prioritisation and paperwork accuracy. Ability to work safely, collaboratively and efficiently in an environmentally responsible manner.

Required Certifications: TWIC card (Required).
