Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Pipeline and Conveyance Practice Leader to guide the national program across states, shaping strategy, technical excellence, and growth in water infrastructure.

The role leads national vision, collaborates across regions, mentors engineers, and represents AE2S in client advisory roles at conferences, driving major pursuits and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years experience in pipeline and conveyance for water/wastewater.
• 2 years leading teams or practice areas.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients and the public.
• Willingness to travel for conferences, pursuits, and BD.
• Pass pre-employment checks as required.

We’re looking for a Pipeline and Conveyance Practice Leader to lead this practice across all locations, driving strategy, technical excellence, and growth across critical water infrastructure systems. Practice leaders at AE2S focus on the Technologies, Trends, and Training for their respective practices.This role offers the opportunity to influence projects, teams, and the future of how water is delivered.

• Shape AE2S’s nationalstrategies in pipeline and conveyance systems such as:
  • Raw and drinking water transmission and distribution pipelines
  • Wastewater collection, force main, and interceptor pipelines
  • Booster stations, wastewater lift stations, and related hydraulic facilities
  • Elevated and ground storage facilities when integrated with conveyance and distribution systems
  • Heavy civil infrastructureassociated with pipeline corridors, utility crossings, site restoration, embankments, and constructability planning
• Expand and strengthen technical capabilities across multiple states
• Influence project delivery across multiple states
• Build and scale a nationally recognized practice
• Collaborate with leadership across operations, client development, and strategy

Responsibilities

You’ll lead the strategy, technical direction, and growth of AE2S’ Pipeline and Conveyance Practice nationwide.

• Set and drive the national vision for pipeline andconveyance and distribution systems
• Partneracross regions to grow teams, capabilities and marketing presence
• Lead technical direction and elevate quality across all large pipeline andconveyance projects
• Anticipate and operationalize emerging trends in pipelineand conveyance infrastructure and system design
• Represent AE2S as a recognized voice in the industry through client advisory roles, conferences, and professional engagements
• Support major pursuits and provide technical leadership in business development
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff across offices

Compensation and Total Rewards
The anticipated salary range for this position is:

• $120,000-$200,000+
  • This salary range represents AE2S's good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, licensure, certifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or directly related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 10 or moreyears of experienceof experience in pipeline and conveyance engineering for water, wastewater, reuse, or related utility infrastructure
• 2 years of demonstrated experience leading teams, initiatives, or practice areas
• Demonstrated track record of technical excellence
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, the public, and other employees
• Ability to travel periodically to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings, and other business development activities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
• May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
• May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
• May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
