Overview

American Engineering seeking an experienced pipelayer to join our team in Hialeah Gardens, FL 33018. Full Time position.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately install various sizes and types of utility piping and structures in different soil conditions and depths.
• Communicate constantly with the excavator operator to accurately dig and compact trenches beneath pipe; monitor trench elevations continually.
• Assist the excavator in the search and verification of existing utilities.
• Set and maintain piping with proper slope.
• Ensure pipe is properly connected with other pipes (home potting/connecting).
• Compact trenches around pipe so pipes do not shift in the future.
• Tightly fasten pipes with restraints as required.
• Ensure pipes are not leaking.
• Check installations routinely with laser and lamping.
• Ensure ground is at proper elevation and density for setting structures.
• Ensure structures are set at proper elevation/location with the use of level and/or laser.
• Understanding of proper utility pipe installation.
• Shoveling of dirt and rock for proper pipe bedding.
• Setting and checking of pipe laser.
• Mud work for structures.
