Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipelayers to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will assemble, align and install underground piping systems, including ductile iron, PVC and reinforced concrete pipe, with emphasis on trench prep, grading, and safety.

The role requires reading construction drawings, following project specs, and maintaining quality workmanship while adhering to OSHA safety standards and company policies.

Formación

• Minimum of 3 years of pipelaying or underground utility construction experience.
• Experience with water mains, sanitary sewers, storm drainage and related underground utilities.
• Knowledge of trench preparation, pipe bedding, backfilling, compaction and excavation safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and utility installation plans.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare work areas with trenches excavated, graded and ready for pipe installation.
• Set up laser levels, establish grades and verify slopes per drawings.
• Assemble, align and install underground piping systems for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Install piping materials including ductile iron, PVC and reinforced concrete pipe (RCP).
• Install piping systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and underground networks.
• Ensure proper pipe placement, alignment, spacing and joints with gaskets, couplings and sealing materials.
• Assist with installing valves, manholes and drainage structures.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and assist with bedding, backfilling and compaction.
• Inspect completed pipe installations for compliance with drawings and specs.

Position Summary
Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipelayers to support the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related heavy civil infrastructure projects. Pipelayers are responsible for assembling, aligning, connecting, and installing underground piping systems for water mains, sanitary sewers, storm drainage, and other water and wastewater infrastructure. This role requires experience with trench preparation, pipe installation, grade verification, and proper pipe alignment to ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utility construction, knowledge of various piping materials, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
What You’ll Do

• Prepare work areas and ensure trenches are properly excavated, graded, and ready for pipe installation
• Set up laser levels, establish grades, and verify slopes according to project drawings and specifications
• Assemble, align, and install underground piping systems for water mains, sanitary sewers, storm drainage, and related infrastructure
• Install various piping materials, including ductile iron, PVC, reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), and associated fittings
• Install piping systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and underground utility networks
• Ensure proper pipe placement, alignment, spacing, and joint connections using appropriate gaskets, couplings, and sealing materials
• Assist with installing valves, manholes, drainage structures, and other underground utility components
• Operate hand and power tools safely and assist with pipe bedding, trench backfilling, and compaction
• Inspect completed pipe installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site‑specific safety requirements, including trenching and excavation safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of pipelaying or underground utility construction experience, preferably on water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Experience installing water mains, sanitary sewer lines, storm drainage systems, and related underground utilities
• Knowledge of underground piping materials, including ductile iron, PVC, reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), and associated fittings
• Experience with reinforced concrete pipe and box culvert systems preferred
• Knowledge of trench preparation, pipe bedding, backfilling, compaction, and excavation safety requirements
• Experience setting grades, operating laser levels, and verifying pipe slopes and elevations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and utility installation plans
• Knowledge of proper pipe alignment, joint connections, and safe operation of hand and power tools
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, bending, lifting, carrying, climbing, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds
• Dependable, safety‑conscious, and able to follow supervisor instructions while working outdoors in varying weather conditions and flexible schedules as required
