Fletcher Technical Community College seeks an experienced pipefitting instructor to deliver hands-on training for credit and non-credit courses in Thibodaux, LA. You will teach safe pipefitting practices, inspect student work, and develop curriculum aligned with approved standards.

The role requires 36+ months of pipefitting experience, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and student achievement.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in pipefitting for credit and non-credit courses.
• Teach safe and proper use of tools, equipment, supplies, and fitting procedures.
• Inspect student work and assess the quality of pipefitting projects.
• Complete fitting inspection and student progress documentation.
• Develop course materials, syllabi, assignments, assessments, and demonstrations aligned with approved curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and industry-relevant learning environment.
• Ensure classroom, laboratory, equipment, and instructional technology are operational.
• Provide timely feedback, tutoring, advising, and mentorship to students.
• Help students prepare for employment, certification, licensure, and continued education.
• Build relationships with business and industry partners to support workforce opportunities.
• Participate in program advisory committees, recruitment and retention activities, college events, professional development, and required meetings.
• Teach welding courses when qualified and assigned.
• Work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on course and program needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• NCCER Core certification.

• Certified Welding Inspector credential.
• Teaching experience at the college or high school level.
• Welding experience or instructional qualifications.
• NCCER Core or OSHA certification may be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
