This role emphasizes practical skills, safety, and reliability as you help prepare fixtures, mark centerlines, and assist with welding or riveting prep under supervision.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; industrial construction/maintenance experience preferred
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work
• Lay out, position, align and fit fabricated parts of structural metal products
• Set up face blocks, jigs and fixtures
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points on floor/workpiece
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps for welding or riveting

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products
• Set up face blocks, jigs and fixtures
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transpose them to work piece
