Job summary

Lightera in Norcross, GA is seeking a Pipefitter to support the Maintenance Department. The role covers installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of piping systems for fiber optic processing equipment, including high purity alloys and engineered polymers.

Experience with PLC trending and gas/abate systems is valuable. Responsibilities include inspecting and testing systems, reading diagrams, and ensuring safe operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of an accredited Trade School with certification of completion of all course work.
• Reading and interpreting process and instrumentation diagrams and piping diagrams.
• Basic skills and competency in the trade and related maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan work assignments with minimal supervision.
• Train and direct helpers and trainees as needed.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve problems using trades knowledge.
• Wear PPE and maintain PPE storage.
• Perform related duties as required.
