The incumbent will read blueprints, interpret instructions, and collaborate with other journeymen to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of hospital infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with journeyman level pipefitter work and ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, and as-built drawings.
• Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair.
• Familiarity with welding, brazing, and pipe fitting techniques.
• Understanding of safety procedures when working with hazardous equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman level pipefitter tasks and assist other journeymen as needed.
• Plan and execute fabrication, installation, and construction of piping systems.
• Maintain, repair, and install piping for hot/cold water, steam, and condensate systems.
• Troubleshoot specialty lines (medical oxygen, vacuum, nitrogen) and HVAC piping.
• Weld joints with gas or electric welding units and perform inspections of water systems.
