Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced pipefitter to join a team dedicated to piping systems fabrication and repair.

You will work from blueprints and sketches to join, surface, fabricate, and replace piping, including copper/cuNi work, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related pipefitting experience, are US Citizens, and willing to operate onsite with standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Requires basic pipefitting experience and ability to read blueprints, sketches, charts or work orders.
• Familiarity with brazing copper/cuNi piping preferred.
• Must be able to perform pipefitting to spec and maintain safety standards.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.35 - $35.65. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
