Turner Industries is seeking a Pipefitter for long-term maintenance work in Baton Rouge, LA. The role includes laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for steam, hot water, and industrial processing systems. Reports to Foreman; non-exempt; 40 hours per week.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma, 1–4 years of pipefitting experience, and ability to read drawings and use power tools. Safety compliance and post-offer screenings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–4 years of experience in pipefitting (level dependent).
• A-class pipefitters know field drawings and engineering drawings.
• Able to read a tape measure and use a framing square.
• Able to connect flanged pipes using cross-pattern bolting.

Responsibilities

• Selects safety gear and plans installation sequence to avoid obstructions.
• Cuts, threads, and bends pipe; assembles metal and nonmetal fittings.
• Joins pipe with threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or cemented joints.
• Installs refrigeration and air‑conditioning piping and tests for leaks.
• Operates power tools and complies with site safety requirements.
