Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is recruiting a Pipefitter Journeyman for a Regular Full-Time, non-exempt position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. Typical hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm, 40 hours per week with possible overtime and no travel required.

The role involves assembling, inspecting, testing, and repairing pipe systems, ensuring proper alignment per blueprints, and maintaining a strong safety culture in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial pipe systems, testing processes and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
• Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work.
• Demonstrates ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, inspects, tests, and repairs pipe systems used to control plant operations.
• Ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints and diagrams.
• Performs inspections of completed pipe systems to determine structural and operational soundness.
• Locates and tests for defective components using test equipment and manuals.
• Conducts tests on new components, assemblies, and systems per test plans.
• Uses and maintains required hand tools for tasks.
• Participates in daily toolbox discussions/meetings.
• Adheres to safety procedures before, during, and after processes to foster safety culture.
