Job summary

Brycon Corporation in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a skilled pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems on commercial/industrial sites.

You will read and interpret blueprints and construction plans, perform pre-task planning, and mentor apprentices while maintaining safety and quality standards. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and construction plans for pipe systems and supports.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial pipefitting experience.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• May require extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Pre-Task Planning of work.
• Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems.
• Assist peers with demolition, de-installation, rigging, fitting, and installation of equipment and pipe supports.
• Install, inspect, and test pipe systems; repair/replace damaged components.
• Mentor apprentice-level pipefitters and helpers.
• Test pipe systems to ensure no leaks; cooperate with QA/QC for inspections.
• Follow all job site safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Responsible for daily Pre-Task Planning of work performed.
• Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems.
• Assist peers with the demolition, de-installation, rigging, fitting, and/or installation of equipment, supports, and pipe
• Read, understand, and install all blueprints, isometric drawings, and construction plans for pipe systems, supports, and related equipment. Building plans, schedule, working drawings, 3D models, benchmarks, and ISOs to determine work required and sequence of installations.
• Install, inspect, and test systems.
• Repair and replace damaged pipe components.
• Mentoring apprentice-level pipefitters and helpers.
• Test pipe system to ensure no leaks.
• Work with QA/QC for final inspections.
• Follow all job site safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial pipefitting experience.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and favorable driving record required.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Employees may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must have all personal hand tools for the trade.
