Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter.
• Basic rigging skills.
• Proficient with small power tools such as die grinders and right-angle grinders.
• Able to read isometric piping drawings.
• Preferred: reading piping and instrument diagrams.
• 3+ years in testing and commissioning of piping systems.
• Capable of efficient work planning.
• Weld joint preparation to meet project codes and standards.
• Proficient in pipe lay-out.
• Threading pipes with a threading machine.
• Able to read and comprehend support drawings.
• May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials.
• Tool maintenance and cleaning.
• Safe traversal of uneven terrain with tools/materials.
• Climb vertical ladders and work from heights as needed.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and uses fall arrest systems.
• Able to access scaffolds.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a journeyman pipefitter on industrial construction sites.
• Perform pipe fitting, layout, and joint preparation to codes.
• Read and interpret piping isometrics and diagrams.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials.
• Maintain and inspect tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use fall arrest systems.

15. Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work from heights as necessary.
