Job summary

Optimized Process Designs is seeking Pipefitter Helpers for our Mont Belvieu, Texas location. This role involves assisting pipefitters with setting, assembling, and installing pipe in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months previous experience working in an industrial environment.
• Past exposure to different metals and knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
• Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions.
• Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods of time up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to work on elevated platforms and maintain balance.
• Must be able to attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
• 6+ months working as a pipefitter helper.
• Previous experience reading ISO’s and drawings.
• Experience in a gas plant construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pipefitters with setting, assembling, and installing pipe in an industrial environment.
• Support pipefitting tasks and maintain safety standards on site.
• Work extended shifts and be flexible for travel to remote areas.
• Operate in outdoor conditions and handle heavy lifting as required.
• Read and interpret basic drawings and ISO documents when required.
