Job summary

  • Inspect worksite to determine presence of obstructions.
  • Assemble materials at job site.
  • Cut, thread, and hammer pipes according to pipe system specs.
  • Use saws and cutting torches to craft proper pipe sizes.
  • Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines.
  • Turn valves to shut off gases or liquids from pipe sections.
  • Remove and replace worn components.
  • Ability to read Isometric Drawings.

  • Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections, using valve keys or wrenches.
  • Remove and replace worn components.
  • Ability to read Isometric Drawings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
