A leading construction company in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to install and maintain piping systems for heating, cooling, and transport. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of heavy civil construction experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for various applications.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Read blueprints and modify specifications as needed.
  • Handle, fit, cut, and weld pipe.
  • Read blueprints and plan installation sequence.
  • Handle drainage, sewer, water and appurtenances.

Skills

Heavy/Civil Construction experience
Proven experience as a Pipefitter
Ability to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist

Position Summary:

A Pipefitter is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems for heating and cooling, high-pressure transport, oil and chemicals, natural gas, and more. They read design specifications to cut and weld pipes, perform routine inspections, and lay pipework..

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and nearmisses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
  • Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Must be able to set and modify specifications as needed
  • Must be able to handle, fit/cut and install drainage, sewer, water and associated appurtenances.
  • Responsible for planning sequence of installation to avoid obstructions & other work activities
  • Must be able to handle, fit, cut and weld pipe.
  • Perform incidental work items and duties of other crafts.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2-5 years Heavy/Civil Construction experience.
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter
