Job summary

Feldkamp Mechanical in Lexington, KY is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. You will install, maintain, and repair boiler piping and related equipment, including layout and welding of steam, condensate, hydronic, and process piping for industrial and commercial projects.

This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with others to ensure quality and on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a /pipefitter in HVAC industry preferred.
• Knowledge of pipefitting principles and ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds; frequently lift and carry 25 pounds; work on ladders, staging or other related equipment; and work in confined spaces.
• Must use proper LO/TO procedures and wear PPE at all times.
• OHSA 10 Cert

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install pipes, valves, and fixtures.
• Inspect and test installed systems for functionality and quality.

• Inspect the workplace, clear obstructions, and prepare materials and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of hazard prevention and safety best practices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

• Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
• Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.
