Job summary

Worley is seeking skilled pipefitters for onsite work in La Porte, TX. You will read blueprints, lay out, position and fit fabricated pipe systems to exact specifications, ensuring proper alignment and joinery.

The role requires handling various pipe types and performing system tests with safety in mind. Responsibilities include installing valves, underground piping, and supports; steam tracing and beveling; basic rigging; and testing piping assemblies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in industrial construction/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, ISO’s, filed installations, and understand specifications.
• Lie out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts.
• Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe.
• Miter and fabricate all pipe; install valves, underground pipe, pipe hangers and supports.
• Steam and heat tracing; use beveling machine; basic rigging; operation of pneumatic and electric tools.
• Test piping systems and perform oxygen/acetylene cutting.
• Leak test tubing systems; conduct minor valve maintenance and repair.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards; perform other duties as required.

• Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe, stainless steel weld pipe
• Miter and fabricate all pipe
• Installs valves, underground pipe, pipe hangers and supports
• Steam and heat tracing
• Use beveling machine
• Minor valve maintenance and repair
• Test piping systems
• Oxygen and acetylene cutting
• Basic rigging
• Operation of pneumatic and electric tools
• Leak test tubing systems
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
