Job summary

American Contracting & Environmental Services is seeking a Pipefitter to support field operations on water and wastewater projects. You will install piping systems, valves, pumps, and related equipment with crews, following safety procedures.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of construction and pipefitting experience, the ability to read drawings and specifications, and teamwork to operate safely in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience with pipefitting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install above ground piping systems, including supports and accessories.
• Install below ground piping systems while following safe excavation practices.
• Perform layout, preparation, and assembly of piping systems.
• Conduct pipe testing and follow proper procedures and safety requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and work packages to guide installations.
• Install materials accurately based on layout and specifications.
• Operate and maintain pipefitting tools and equipment safely.
• Work alongside crews to support daily field operations.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and in compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with team members to maintain productivity and workflow.

About the Role:

We are adding a Pipefitter to support field operations by performing all aspects of mechanical construction on water and wastewater projects. This role is responsible for installing piping systems, valves, pumps, and related equipment, while working alongside crews to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently in the field.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of construction experience
• At least 2 years of experience specializing in pipefitting
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience working with pipefitting tools and equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in water or wastewater construction
• Experience with above and below ground piping systems
• Familiarity with pipe testing procedures and layout work
• Experience working on active construction sites with multiple trades
