Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a skilled pipefitter to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, fit piping, operate hand and power tools, and ensure prints and specs are followed. The role requires physical stamina, safety focus, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

This full-time, day-shift position offers starting pay around $30 per hour (DOE) and a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must have strong mechanical skills and experience with basic hand and light power tools.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and may occasionally lift over 50 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to do basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and work proficiently with rigid industrial pipe threaders and related equipment.
• Demonstrate familiarity with thread gauges and proper pipe-threading practices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and piping plans accurately.
• Complete plumbing and piping tasks in accordance with prints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within complex piping systems using sound problem-solving skills.
• Safely work in confined spaces and awkward positions while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate the physical stamina and agility required to perform pipefitting duties in various work environments.
• Safely and effectively use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and pipefitting equipment.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, accuracy, and workmanship throughout all assigned tasks.
