Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our construction team on high-profile projects in the Cincinnati area. You will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems across multiple pipe types while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of pipefitting experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, welding in all positions, and a commitment to quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Pipefitter in the construction industry.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Extensive experience with welding in all positions.
• Proficiency in sweating and brazing.
• Experience with using a roll groove machine.
• Demonstrated ability to assemble and install piping systems for commercial buildings.
• Familiarity with various pipe types (copper, cast iron, PVC, PEX, etc.).
• Proficiency in bending pipe by hand or with bending tools.
• Experience testing piping systems for leaks under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit with ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipes including copper, cast iron, PVC, PEX, etc.
• Use tools and machines to measure, cut, groove, thread, weld, and join pipes.
• Weld in all positions as required by the project.
• Sweat and braze pipes to ensure leak-free connections.
• Bend pipes by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines as needed.
• Use roll groove machines to prepare and fit pipes together.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and watching gauges.
• Coordinate with other construction professionals to ensure smooth execution.
• Comply with safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
