Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Pipe Yard to join our active yard team. You will pull conduit and related material, verify counts, and stage orders for pickup or transfer across branches.

You will operate a sit-down forklift and pipe bander, perform equipment inspections, and maintain a safe, organized yard. Join a crew-focused environment with emphasis on accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification (sit-down) required or ability to obtain through onsite training.
• Pipe bander experience a plus; training provided.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Material Pulling & Fulfillment: Pull EMT, PVC conduit, strut, galvanized/IMC for customers and branches.
• Verify counts on every pull with accuracy and stage orders for pickup or transfer.
• Loading & Unloading: Load/unload trucks safely and verify outbound loads match the order.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklift and pipe bander; perform pre-shift inspections.
• Yard Organization & Maintenance: Keep yard organized, clean, and navigable; restock material locations.
• Crew & Communication: Work within a crew, communicate proactively, cover shifts as needed.
