Job summary

Advanced Technology Group is looking for a Pipe Welder II in Westminster, Colorado. The role involves reading and interpreting shop drawings and fabricating complex piping systems, with an emphasis on welding according to AWS and ASME standards. Applicants should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, be capable of advanced welding techniques, and able to work safely with machinery. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience or technical training or equivalent.
• Must be able to certify to ASME Sect. IX and AWS qualifications.
• Capable of completing weldments with consideration of tolerances, shrinkage, and warpage.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings to layout and fabricate piping systems.
• Perform x-ray quality welds on stainless steel and specialty alloys.
• Utilize ATG’s work order documentation and Quality Management System.

Skills

Reading advanced blueprints

Understanding weld symbols

Fit up and welding of complex pipe spools

Operating shop machinery

Ability to safely operate forklifts and cranes

Ability to fit and weld various pipe thicknesses

Education

HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
