Job summary

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welders for projects in the Manhattan, IL area. This first shift role offers $45-65/hour plus $700/week per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site.

You will work with top craftsmen focused on safety, productivity, and quality. Welding duties include stick welding on carbon schedule 160 pipe (6G) using 6010/open root and 7018 for fill/cap, and TIG welding on carbon schedule 160 pipe (6G) with open root.

Qualifications

• All PPE required.
• All tools for the trade.
• Pass a weld test.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding on carbon schedule 160 pipe in 6G with 6010 open root and 7018 fill/cap.
• TIG welding on carbon schedule 160 pipe in 6G with open root and TIG all the way out.
• Complete super coupons and plate testing as scheduled in 2G-4G positions.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welders for projects located in the Manhattan, IL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $45-65/hour based on experience plus $700/week per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope

• Perform stick welding on carbon schedule 160 pipe in the 6G position using 6010 for the open root and hot pass and 7018 for the fill and cap
• TIG welding will be performed on carbon schedule 160 pipe in the 6G position with an open root and TIG all the way out
• Complete super coupons with a 2-inch OD and .625-inch wall thickness, with both welds performed uphill
• Plate testing may also be scheduled using 3/8-inch plate with a backing strip in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions
