Job summary

Algas-SDI is seeking skilled welders to join our fabrication team. You will fabricate and assemble metal structures and piping systems, performing GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding with a focus on quality and safety.

A journeyman level of welding is expected with the ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings. Qualified candidates will have experience with 6G pipe welds in carbon and stainless steel, and a current Washington driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience with GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding.
• Ability to pass carbon and stainless steel GTAW pipe weld tests in the 6G position.
• Experience using standard fabrication shop tools and equipment.
• Blueprint and engineering drawing reading experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Current Washington State driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe and structural components at a journeyman level.
• Perform GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes.
• Complete Carbon and Stainless Steel GTAW pipe welds in the 6G position.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and mechanical drawings.
• Perform pipe and/or structural fitting with minimal supervision.
• Use fabrication shop equipment including Oxy/Fuel torches, plasma equipment, band saws, and hand tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete assigned tasks within established labor standards.
