Job summary

Sunsrce in Houston is seeking a skilled pipe welder to join the Pipe & Metal Hose shop. You will read blueprints, verify orders, and operate welding and fabrication equipment in a non-climate controlled environment.

The role requires pass of 6G pipe weld tests, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to ISO/ASME quality standards along with lean and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industrial TIG pipe welding experience required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Must pass: 6G pipe weld test and rollout pipe weld test.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Sits or stands for extended periods.
• Works in a non-climate controlled environment.

Job description

The successful candidate will use various tools and/or machines to weld or fit pipe. The role includes assisting in all areas of the Pipe & Metal Hose shop, including machine shop, fitting, hydro testing, inspection, and related product activities. The candidate may also perform quality control duties.

• Sits or stands for extended periods.
