Job summary

Henderson, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to install underground utilities in the Williamsburg area. The role requires reading blueprints, precise pipe alignment, trenching, bedding, and strict adherence to OSHA standards.

You must be dependable, communicate well with the crew, and handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs. A pre-employment drug screen and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong safety mindset and OSHA awareness.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work well in a crew and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular workdays.
• Connect and install utility pipes per specs.
• Align and position pipes accurately.
• Check slopes using levels or lasers.
• Bedding, compaction and backfill of installed utilities.
• Measure pipes to required lengths.
• Dig/grade trenches to required depths.
• Install and repair sanitary and storm pipes and structures.
• Assist with layout of pipes and structures.
• Rigging per OSHA standards; trench safety compliance.
• Complete CBT modules as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
