The Walsh Group, Walsh Construction & Archer Western is hiring a Pipe Layer for our Central Water Group in Mansfield, TX. The role involves laying and joining pipe sections, aligning, wrapping and sealing, using hand and power tools on water main and sewer projects.

You will work with crew members, perform physical tasks, and ensure safety procedures are followed. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Formación

• 1+ year verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to climb and balance on scaffolds/ladders.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather.

Overview

Archer Western Contruction, LLC is currently seeking a Pipe Layer for the Central Water Group/Bud Ervin WTP Phase V Expansion Package #3 , in Mansfield,TX . The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
• Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor

Qualifications

• 1 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
• Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
