Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to install and service underground pipe systems for road construction. The role reports to the Pipe Foreman and requires precise layout and cutting of pipes on site.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of underground pipe laying experience and 2–4 years in road construction. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of underground pipe laying experience.
  • 2–4 years of road construction experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in pipe laying techniques.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install sanitary and storm sewer structures and pipe systems.
  • Lay out pipe routes per specifications or blueprints and coordinate layouts with supervisor.
  • Cut pipes to required lengths.
  • Align and position pipes for welding or sealing.
  • Check slopes for conformance using levels or lasers.
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints with welding, cement, or glue.
  • Tap and drill holes into pipes for auxiliary lines or devices.
  • Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
  • Grade and level trench bases with tamping tools.
  • Perform other general labor and construction duties as required.
  • Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program.

Branch's Civil Division is searching for a skilled, reliable Pipe Layer to join our well-established, growing company. The Pipe Layer is responsible for preparing and installing underground pipelines for road construction. This position reports to the Pipe Foreman.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems.
  • Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor.
  • Cut pipes to required lengths.
  • Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
  • Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue.
  • Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.

Compensation

Salary Min: $42,045.50

Salary Max: $70,110.00

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

The positionlifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands). The position requires the ability toquickly move arms and legs. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
