Overview

The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction job sites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Lay, join, align, wrap, and seal pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other types of pipe for water/gas mains, sanitary sewers, and telephone/electrical conduits.
  • Work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management.
  • Perform tasks that involve physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • 1 year verifiable experience preferred.
  • Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requires ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL
