Job summary

WesternStatesReclamation (WSR) is seeking a dependable Pipe Layer to join our construction team in Brighton, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience installing underground utility systems including water, sewer, and storm drain pipelines.

The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and collaboration with equipment operators and laborers to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pipe layer or underground utility worker preferred.
• Ability to read construction plans and use measuring tools.
• Knowledge of underground utility installation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• OSHA certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install water, sewer, and storm drain pipe according to project specifications.
• Grade and prepare trenches for pipe installation.
• Align and secure pipe sections using proper tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and construction plans.
• Assist with excavation, backfilling, and site cleanup.
• Ensure proper slope and alignment of installed pipe.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Work effectively as part of a construction crew.
