Job summary

RK Industries is seeking skilled Shop Fitters to join a team focused on safety, quality, and craftsmanship. Perform fabrication, layout, and inspection of piping spools per production drawings, with emphasis on reading blueprints, tool operation, and adherence to production schedules.

You will contribute to a collaborative environment, train new colleagues, and help maintain clean, safe work areas while meeting daily production goals in a shop setting.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Trade specific training, experience and knowledge.
• TIG welding experience required
• Receives direct supervision.
• Performs fabrication/production responsibilities with supervision.
• Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
• Role specific skills and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with all safety processes and procedures.
• Operate trade specific shop tools and machinery.
• Read and interpret production drawings, labels and measurements.
• Layout and fabrication of piping spools from production drawings.
• Inspect and document product compliance.
• Maintain clean and orderly tools/work area.
• Work closely with fabrication team members in a collaborative team environment.
• Assist in the training of new employees.
• Provide information on daily production to assist with production tracking.
• Work with shop foreman to ensure production goals are met.
