Job summary

Viking Group, Inc. is seeking a fabrication associate to perform repetitive tasks involving cutting, threading, and assembling pipe. You will operate chop saws, band saws, grooving and threading machines, and apply fittings with Make-On devices.

The role requires familiarity with safety protocols, PPE, and the ability to follow SOPs. Forklift operation and material handling are essential parts of daily duties in a busy fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Basic operating knowledge of fabrication processes and industry standards.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Willingness to complete training curriculum and demonstrate competence as defined by management.
• Ability to operate listed equipment as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotary chop saw and band saw to cut pipe to length.
• Handle movement of pipe along the table and offload to carts for staging.
• Operate grooving, threader, and make-on machines for pipe ends and fittings.
• Install and assemble fittings; use grinder to finish ends.
• Move materials with forklift and prepare bundles for shipment.
• Follow SOPs and wear PPE; complete safety training and demonstrate competence.
