Job description

Responsibilities

• Experience not required; on the job training available
• Prepare pipe for installation, including beveling, installing retainers, and applying mastic; safely rig pipe and structures for lifting and placement in a ditch
• Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor
• Lay water lines, storm‑water lines, sanitary lines, and other underground utilities
• Perform manual labor, including but not limited to raking, shoveling, and hooking up pumps, installing pipe, mixing concrete, carrying materials, throwing sod, seeding, etc.
• Operate hand and power tools
• Work under various field and weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, twist, push, and pull
• Must wear required PPE as per safety manual and OSHA regulations
• Work weekends if requested by Foreman
• Communicate effectively with Foreman
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to the job sites
• Jobsites range anywhere from 10–80 miles in one direction
• Must be drug‑free
• Medical drug cards are not accepted
