Pipe Crew GPS Excavator Operator

Utilizing GPS technology, operator is responsible for digging trenches for utility installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches, moving dirt, and pouring concrete.
• Keep records of time spent working, materials used, and equipment maintenance issues to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Operate heavy machinery with GPS to move dirt, rock, and other materials to construct roadways, bridges, dams, and other large projects.
• Operate construction equipment with GPS to remove debris from building sites or excavate soil to construct foundations for buildings.
• Install pipes, wires, and other underground utilities using digging equipment such as shovels, pickaxes, bulldozers, and backhoes.
• Install pipes and other materials for water and sewage systems.
• Ensure company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
• Inspect all company equipment before each start up.

Qualifications

• Must wear required PPE as per safety manual and OSHA regulations.
• Work weekends if requested by Foreman.
• Communicate effectively with Foreman.
• Must have reliable transportation to transport self to the jobsites.
• Jobsites range anywhere from 10-80 miles in one direction.
• Must be drug free. Medical Drug cards are NOT accepted.
