Pipe Crew GPS Excavator Operator
Utilizing GPS technology, operator is responsible for digging trenches for utility installation.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches, moving dirt, and pouring concrete.
- Keep records of time spent working, materials used, and equipment maintenance issues to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Operate heavy machinery with GPS to move dirt, rock, and other materials to construct roadways, bridges, dams, and other large projects.
- Operate construction equipment with GPS to remove debris from building sites or excavate soil to construct foundations for buildings.
- Install pipes, wires, and other underground utilities using digging equipment such as shovels, pickaxes, bulldozers, and backhoes.
- Install pipes and other materials for water and sewage systems.
- Ensure company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
- Inspect all company equipment before each start up.
Qualifications
- Must wear required PPE as per safety manual and OSHA regulations.
- Work weekends if requested by Foreman.
- Communicate effectively with Foreman.
- Must have reliable transportation to transport self to the jobsites.
- Jobsites range anywhere from 10-80 miles in one direction.
- Must be drug free. Medical Drug cards are NOT accepted.
