Job summary

Milliken and Company is seeking a Tie‑In Associate in Pine Mountain, GA to support warp preparation, tie‑in procedures, and material handling, ensuring continuous production flow on the factory floor.

You will read production instructions and safety documents, work near moving machinery, and handle materials up to 50 lbs while maintaining clean, safe work areas. Milliken is an equal opportunity employer.

  • Ability to read production instructions, quality specifications, and safety documents.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and verify correct Control Cards for all warps.
  • Operate Warp Out truck and perform warp tying per procedures.
  • Lease out warp and ensure yarn separation accuracy.
  • Update and maintain the Warp Board Sheet.
  • Keep the work area clean and safe; perform housekeeping.
  • Fill LIME storage containers as required.
  • Charge and replace batteries for the Warp Truck.
  • Tighten beam bolts safely and correctly.
  • Identify S & Z twist issues in belting styles.
  • Prioritize jobs based on production scheduling.
  • Maintain and organize the Warp Storage Area.
  • Execute Warp Out Procedures including BARCO declarations.
  • Troubleshoot knotter issues such as double-end and slip knots.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Tie‑In Associate is responsible for supporting warp preparation, tie‑in procedures, and material handling functions to ensure continuous production flow

  • Identify and verify correct Control Cards for all warps.
  • Use of Warp Out truck.
  • Perform warp tying in accordance with established procedures.
  • Lease out warp and ensure accurate yarn separation.
  • Update and maintain the Warp Board Sheet accurately.
  • Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Fill LIME storage containers as required.
  • Perform battery changing and charging for the Warp Truck.
  • Tighten beam bolts safely and correctly.
  • Identify S & Z twist problems in belting styles.
  • Manage job priorities based on production scheduling.
  • Maintain and organize the Warp Storage Area.
  • Execute Warp Out Procedures including BARCO declarations
  • Troubleshoot knotter issues including:
  • Double-end issues
  • Slip knots
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing or textile experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read production instructions, quality specifications, and safety documents.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing or walking for 8 hours or more per shift.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing or seated) during equipment operation.
  • Ability to move/traverse the production floor, including accessing creel areas, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry production materials (spools, bobbins, resin containers, waste packages), typically up to 50 lbs.
  • Stooping, bending, reaching overhead, and occasional ladder/platform climbing.
  • Ability to operate machine controls, touchscreens, tools, and adjustments requiring fine motor skills.
  • Ability to sustain repetitive motions during extended production runs.
  • Ability to visually inspect products, monitor displays, and identify non‑conforming conditions.
  • Ability to tolerate heat, temperature variations, and abnormal environmental conditions typical of manufacturing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed primarily on the production floor, near moving machinery and ongoing process lines.
  • Noise levels vary; hearing protection may be required.
  • Exposure to fibers, lint, dust, and particulates typical of textile operations.
  • Exposure to heat from extrusion zones and fluctuating seasonal temperatures.
  • Work may involve tight/confined areas, ladder use, and navigating around machinery.
  • Required use of PPE: safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and other items per task area.
