Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare's Moab Air Base seeks an experienced Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transport. You will operate rotorcraft under FAA rules, plan flights, manage weight and fuel, and coordinate with medical teams during missions.

Ideal candidates hold FAA Commercial with Instrument Rating or ATR, current second-class medical, and thousands of flight hours in helicopters, including night and instrument time; cross-country time required.

Qualifications

  • FAA certifications: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
  • Flight Experience: 2,000 hours total flight time in a helicopter or CAMTS Equivalency; 100 hours cross-country; 25 hours night; 75 instrument hours.

Responsibilities

  • Operate aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
  • Plan and execute flights, accounting for weather, weight and balance, and fuel requirements.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless mission execution.
  • Respond to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.
  • Maintain flight and maintenance logs as required by the company and FAA.
