Job summary

A1 Lithium in Green River, Utah seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the operation, commissioning and scale‑up of the pilot and demonstration plant. This hands‑on leadership role requires coordinating operators, technicians and contractors to translate pilot data into demonstration‑scale operations and support commercial development.

The position is based on site, five days per week, with a focus on process optimization, equipment performance and safety within a growing lithium

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience operating chemical process systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing plant technicians or operators.
• Proven experience building or operating pilot or demonstration plants.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and plant automation experience.
• Experience with water treatment systems, including reverse osmosis.
• DLE, lithium, brine or hard-rock processing experience is preferred.
• Hydrometallurgy experience including leaching, solvent extraction and crystallization is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory analytical systems (ICP-MS, ICP-OES) is preferred.

• Lead pilot and demonstration plant engineering, commissioning, startup and operations.
• Manage and mentor chemical process operators, laboratory technicians and technical personnel.
• Lead troubleshooting, process optimization and plant scale-up.
• Manage mass balances, P&IDs and PFDs.
• Oversee process equipment including RO systems, Electro Oxidation modules, evaporators, filters, crystallizers and ion-exchange columns.
• Develop SOPs and training programs for plant personnel.
• Manage EPC contractors, vendors, project schedules, capital expenditure and operating costs.
• Lead HAZOPs, JSAs and field risk assessments while maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Support environmental, building and operational compliance.

A1 Lithium is a U.S.-based subsidiary of Anson Resources Limited (ASX: ASN), advancing the Green River Lithium Project in Utah. Through Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology, we are developing a domestic source of high-purity lithium products for the growing battery materials market.

The Role

A1 Lithium is seeking an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the operation, commissioning and scale‑up of our pilot and demonstration plant in Green River.

This role combines technical engineering leadership with day‑to‑day plant execution. You will work directly with operators, technicians, contractors and technical teams, helping translate pilot data into demonstration‑scale operations and supporting the project's progression toward commercial development.

This position is based in Green River, Utah and requires an on‑site presence five days per week. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

Compensation

$140,000–$150,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a safety‑sensitive position. Employment is subject to background screening, pre‑employment drug testing and a fitness‑for‑duty medical assessment.
