Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking an experienced crane operator to drive pile foundations for heavy civil structures such as bridges and foundations. You will operate lattice boom and hydraulic cranes, perform pre-job checks, read blueprints, and follow precise lifting procedures.

You will work with a ground crew, communicate via signals and radios, and uphold strict safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience operating pile driving cranes in a heavy civil construction environment.
• NCCCO certification (or equivalent) for lattice boom and/or hydraulic cranes with a pile driving endorsement.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, load charts, and construction plans.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate pile driving cranes to drive piles according to project specifications.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on crane equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and load charts for crane setup and lifting procedures.
• Communicate with ground crew using hand signals, radios, and other methods.
• Monitor operations for proper alignment, plumb, and depth of driven piles.
• Troubleshoot minor crane equipment issues.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisor.
