Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking a Pilates Instructor to support members in achieving healthier lives. You will develop comprehensive Pilates programs, teach private and group classes, and ensure safe equipment use.

The role requires Pilates program design experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/AED certification. You will promote related fitness services and maintain studio cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Pilates program design experience is required.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional client programs to achieve goals and retention.
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes.
• Monitors clients during sessions and ensures safe equipment use.
• Conducts fitness consultations with screening and goal setting for tailored Pilates plans.
• Promotes Pilates, Group Fitness and Personal Training services.
• Completes administrative tasks related to each client’s fitness plan.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio.
• Keeps certifications up to date and follows industry trends.
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends.

Position Summary

Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supporting, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Experience in Pilates program design
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of personal training experience
• 6 months of experience in adjusting body alignment, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel equipment

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Certified Pilates Trainer
• CPR and AED Certified

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
